Kathy Crane

Kathy has been involved in the pet care industry for over twenty five years. She has worked as a veterinary assistant and is a graduate of the The Maritime Professional School of Dog Grooming and Clipping.

Before purchasing Oakglen Kennels Ltd. she owned and operated a pet supply shop called Critter Sitters Boutique and Grooming Salon which also offered pet sitting services. She has now operated Oakglen Kennels for 14 plus years.

Her hobbies also involve dogs, she has bred and shown Italian Greyhounds for close to thirty years under the kennel name Kabecca, which is a permanently registered CKC kennel name.

Kathy is active in her local kennel club, The Dartmouth Kennel Club, with whom she has been a member since 1972 and served in many executive positions including President. She is also a member of the Canadian Kennel Club as well as the Italian Greyhound Club of Canada.

Oakglen Kennels Ltd. is operated by Kathy Crane and Anne Marie Rasmussen combining over 45 years of knowledge and experience of pet care for your piece of mind when you have to leave your pet.

Anne Marie Rasmussen

Anne Marie has been involved in the pet care industry for over twenty years, having done time as a veterinary assistant, worked in kennels and grooming shops before starting her own boarding kennel and grooming shop in Ontario under the name of Creature Comforts Inn, which was in operation for 10 years.

Returning to Nova Scotia to join Kathy as a partner in Oakglen Kennels Ltd. she will help expand the business to include a doggie day care and a full time grooming shop.

Anne Marie has been breeding and showing dogs for over 22 years and information about her dogs can be found at Rhiannon Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Her hobbies include running email discussion lists for dog breeders and boarding kennel operators and writing articles on a wide range of dog oriented subjects, including health, breeding and dog care issues and can be found on her website.

She also operates a website promotions business at Rhiannon Website Promotions.
